When the word "control" is used in a relationship, it
usually involves areas of discipline or an agreement to commit to
something. Although this word is used a measure of power, sometimes men
and women forget that it simply means about the differences between the
both of them.
Control issues usually arise when men and women
cannot decide whether who is correct and who is not. The sad thing to
say is that, these couples argue because of the minor issues. But,
there really are no straightforward correct or incorrect answers to
these issues.
One classic example will be shaving. Men and women
view shaving differently. For example, men change their razor blades
everyday while women change their razor blades only monthly.
Furthermore, men blame the blade when they shave and cut themselves.
But, when women cut themselves, they view it from a different
perspective and blame themselves for the clumsy injury. Men tend to
blame external factors for all situations while women take the blame on
themselves.
There are many other instances. And men and women get
into arguments when such friction is caused. Another example will be
when the laundry is hung out to dry and the man exclaims, "Where did
you hang my clothes?" while the woman says, "Where did I hang my
clothes?"
This control issues causes a lot of unhappiness in the
household as this sort of interaction can lead to "Why do you blame me
for your problems?" questions and can escalate into a big argument when
it is not handled by both parties adequately. Definitely, there are
ways to solve these problems. You just need to dig deeper.
When
men discover that they cannot get the women they love, they blame that
it is because of their looks, all types of external factors and
everyone else. In fact, the trick about dating is just about the
techniques.
