Imo, it’s better to have a meeting place at first date. Simply, you don’t know the person well. Remember that it’s your first meeting, who knows? Maybe he’s a serial killer or a kidnapper? lol..

Kidding aside, it’s better to pick me up when it’s our second date. In this case, I have known him and get the chance to talk to him. I can say that I’m more comfortable to be with him than our first date (of course). It’s also more advisable because it only show he respect me and value me.. Sounds great! Isn’t it?

It actually depends on the kind of date itself. If it's a blind date or a date from the one I met online or never seen then the meeting place would probably be on a agreed venue.
